Adalynn Sturm, who was born in Normal, Illinois, was taken from this world on Sunday at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was just 2 years old. There will only be immediate family members present at the funeral service. The funeral service and burial are set to take place at the Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington.
Born August 30, 2020, Adalynn is survived by her parents, Kiley Jo Sturm and David William Rotchford; maternal grandmother and “Mimi”, Angie Sturm of Bloomington; paternal grandparents, Tina and Bill Rotchford of Oakland, Maine; maternal aunt, Lindsey (Tom) Prior of Normal and their daughters, Riley and Avery; paternal uncles, Patrick (Erin) Rotchford of East Syracuse, NY, Matthew Rotchford of Manchester, NH and Howie Rotchford of Morrison, CO. Her maternal grandfather, Greg Sturm, had previously passed away before she was born. He was her mother’s father.
In dangerous situations, Adalynn was given the honor of being named Adalynn Joseph in honor of her namesake. This was done in order to avoid confusion. When she wasn’t in trouble, she never grew quiet (exactly like her mother did), and she never stopped talking.
