Acting Chief James Forgo and the members of the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue are mourning the passing of Technician II Derek Shifflett. Derek passed away yesterday at his home in Warrenton, Virginia. Derek joined the Department in 2008 and served admirably in assignments at Stations 20, 12, 4, 25, 23, 24, and 11. Derek’s devotion to serving others was an inspiration to all who knew him. Our hearts are with his family now and always.
