Gabby and Ryan might seem like they get along like old friends, but they actually met just before filming on LEGO Masters started. The pair revealed they got along from their very first conversation over Zoom and remain friends today.

Now he is fully immersed in the LEGO community as part of a broad range of activities, being a member of LUGs (LEGO User Groups) that have made him well known in the world of LEGO devotees. On the other hand, Gabby played with LEGO as a kid with her brothers but never owned her own sets, as “back then LEGO wasn’t really aimed at girls”.

Despite their incredible LEGO skills, Gabby and Ryan said being on LEGO Masters has improved their building even more and opened their eyes to new techniques and possibilities. “It’s changed the way I look at it,” Ryan revealed.

Meanwhile Gabby, who before the show built for her own enjoyment or with her kids, now has a greater understanding of building a MOC (my own creation) and is keen to join the LEGO community. With their time on LEGO Masters over, both have returned to their day jobs.
Who is Gabby from Lego?
Primary school teacher Ryan and occupational therapist Gabby may have different LEGO backgrounds but are keen to meld their love of the bricks by putting put their imaginations and skills to the biggest test on LEGO® Masters. Both creatives at heart, Ryan is an avid musician and Gabby trained in theatre arts and stage management.
Ryan enjoys building with LEGO because he finds it enjoyable, relaxing, exciting, fun and surprising, all at the same time. The most unusual thing he has ever created was a “mini me” ventriloquist-style replica doll of himself.
He came back to LEGO around 2008, but really threw himself into the deep end again four years later.

With a nod to his musical roots, Ryan’s dream build would be a full-sized rock band complete with instruments. He’d want the whole thing to look completely realistic, and the band able to move. Gabby’s dream build is inspired by Irish mythology.
